Seiki launches its predictive mobility mapping solution for local authorities and urban planners

- Initially dedicated to MOOH audience measurement to identify populations in time and space, Seiki today unveils the launch of a new technological brick.
- Thanks to the latter, the company supports intelligent urban planning and facilitates informed decision-making on city design and development.
- Seiki is thus opening up to new sectors - smart cities, retail, real estate... - to enable urban planners and local authorities to meet the needs of the cities of the future.
Seiki, Mobility Intelligence specialist and subsidiary of the LaTour Media Group, today announced the launch of its new predictive mobility mapping solution. predictive mobility mapping solution. The aim: to predict the movement of populations in space and time, to help urban planners make informed decisions on the design and layout of tomorrow's cities.
Mobility Intelligence for communication. Launched in 2022, Seiki is a mobility specialist that deciphers trends in people's movements and behaviors (in real time and for the future). Initially dedicated to the world of communication, the company has structured itself around its proprietary Mobility Intelligence technology to identify a population with precision and national or local geographic granularity in order to analyze yesterday, understand today, and anticipate tomorrow.
This approach is then dedicated to the challenges of measuring the impact of MOOH (Mobile Out Of Home) communication operations, to estimate the advertising effectiveness of a campaign on all types of itinerant media. At the click of a button, brands have access to media performance (ODV, coverage, audience, etc.), target mobility, qualified traffic volume, penetration rates and multimodal distribution, all around the defined zones of interest.
Ultimately, Seiki's aim is to help companies develop the understanding they need to find appropriate solutions in a variety of fields, including media, mobility, transport and logistics. As proof of its effectiveness, the company was audited and validated last July by CESP, the interprofessional body for communication players.
Meeting the new challenges facing urban planners. Today, thanks to its ability to reveal the reality of population flow dynamics, Seiki is opening up new horizons. The company now offers predictive mobility mapping, powered by Mobility Intelligence, to help urban planners and local authorities meet the new challenges facing cities.
Information on people's movements will help them to make informed decisions on the design and layout of cities (location of infrastructure, public transport stops, etc.). Mobility prediction will then enable them to better understand the travel patterns of residents, tourists and workers in the cities of the future. In concrete terms, using predictive models based on today's mobility data - and integrating exogenous variables - it is possible to anticipate trends, analyze risks, observe places of congestion, peak days and times, low-traffic periods and other essential information.
At the same time, this predictive data helps infrastructure managers to plan maintenance work and improvements in line with traffic forecasts, minimizing disruption for city dwellers.
"Seiki's predictive mapping enables us to better understand people's travel patterns. This is an essential asset in the context of new city developments, when we know that the introduction of new transport lines, or even international events such as the 2024 Olympics, considerably modify urban traffic management. By providing the tools needed to understand people's movements in time and space, we're making it easier for urban planners and local authorities to take the right decisions", says Jaafar Elalamy, Managing Director at Seiki.
